แฟนๆ NIKE หลายคนอาจจะเคยได้ยินชื่อรองเท้ารุ่นใหม่ของ NIKE ที่เพิ่งเปิดตัววางขายไปไม่นานนี้ ซึ่งก็คือ VaporMax กันมาบ้างแล้ว เจ้ารองเท้าคู่นี้มันมีความพิเศษอย่างไร วันนี้เราจะพามาเจาะลึกกันฮะ
เพื่อนๆ ยังจำหน้าตาของ Nike Air Max ปี 2016 กันได้อยู่ไหม และลองนึกภาพ Air Max ปี 2017 ในหัวดู ถ้านึกไม่ออกก็ไม่เป็นไร เป็นเพราะอะไรน่ะเหรอ? Air Max นั้นกวาดตลาดทำเงินไปหลายล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐตั้งแต่มีการเปิดตัวในปี 1987 วันเวลาของยุคสุดฮอต เช่น Air Max 90, Air Max 95 ได้หมดไปแล้ว รุ่นหลังๆที่ออกมาก่อนหน้านี้ก็ไม่ติดตามากเท่าที่ควร ที่เคยโฆษณาว่าจะมีการปฏิวัติรูปแบบใหม่ต่างๆนาๆ ก็ดูไม่น่าตื่นเต้นเท่าไร แต่ปีนี้ไม่เหมือนปีก่อนๆ เพราะอะไรตามมาดูกัน
ถ้าจะมีรองเท้าสักรุ่นที่ทำให้ NIKE กลับมาเป็นรองเท้ายอดฮิตอันดับหนึ่งอีกครั้ง ก็คงจะเป็นเจ้า Nike Air VaporMax ($190) นี่ล่ะฮะ รูปทรงที่เย้ายวนใจนี้ถูกเปิดเผยครั้งแรกในงาน Nike’s Innovation Summit ปี 2016 ซึ่งวางขายกันไปสดๆร้อนๆ เมื่อวันอาทิตย์ที่ผ่านมานี้เอง ซึ่งก็ประมาณ 30 ปีแล้วตั้งแต่การถือกำเนิดของ Air Max คู่แรก สำหรับรุ่น VaporMax นี้มีฟองอากาศอยู่ที่พื้นรองเท้าจำนวนมาก ตัวรองเท้าทำจากผ้าถักที่เรียกว่า Flyknit เป็นความผสมผสานที่ NIKE บอกว่านี่และคือ Air Max ที่มีความยืดหยุ่นมากที่สุด! ระบบฟองอากาศนี้ช่วยแทนที่ความนุ่มสบายของพื้นโฟม พื้นชั้นกลางของรองเท้า (midsole) ถูกถอดออกไป เพื่อให้เท้าได้สัมผัสความนุ่มนั้นอย่างใกล้ชิด

ในช่วงที่ NIKE มุ่งมั่นกับการคิดค้นเทคโนโลยีนี้ออกมานั้น ก็ยังแสดงให้เห็นได้ชัดถึงความใส่ใจที่มีต่อภาพลักษณ์ของตัวรองเท้า ถ้า ADIDAS มี Ultra boost, NIKE ก็มี VaporMax จะใช้ในอวกาศก็ได้ ใช้เล่นกีฬาก็ได้ หรือจะใส่เดินเที่ยวก็เหมาะสุดๆ และคอลเลกชั่นที่ออกวางจำหน่ายไปเมื่อไม่นานมานี้ ก็คือการรวมตัวของ Nike VaporMax กับ Comme des Garçons ที่มีทั้งความเป็นสปอร์ตและสไตล์อยู่ด้วยกัน Mark Parker (Nike CEO) ได้เคยอธิบายถึงการออกแบบ VaporMax นี้ว่าเป็นรองเท้าที่อยู่ตรงกลางระหว่างความเป็นนักวิ่งตัวยงกับผู้ที่ชื่นชอบการแต่งกายแบบขาวดำ

VaporMax ไม่ได้มีดีแค่รูปลักษณ์ภายนอก แต่ส่วนพื้นรองเท้านั้นถูกออกแบบอย่างพิถีพิถัน ใช้เวลาร่วม 7 ปีในการทดสอบสมรรถภาพอย่างเข้มงวด มีนักกีฬากว่า 350 คนเคยลองใส่มัน และทดสอบวิ่งรวมกันมากกว่า 126,000 ไมล์มาแล้ว ซึ่งอาจจะเป็นรองเท้ารุ่นที่ผ่านการทดสอบมามากที่สุดของ NIKE เลยก็ว่าได้
นิยามของ VaporMax คือ “การวิ่งบนอากาศ” เวลาสวมใส่รองเท้าคู่นี้จะให้สัมผัสถึงการเด้งของพื้นรองเท้า โดยเฉพาะช่วงส้นเท้าซึ่งแตกต่างจาก Air Max รุ่นอื่นๆ ที่ผ่านมา สามารถทดสอบได้โดยการกระโดดเบาๆ ฟองอากาศขนาดใหญ่ของพื้นรองเท้าอาจให้ความรู้สึกถึงความเปราะบาง จนเรากลัวว่ามันจะแตกรึเปล่า แต่ไม่ต้องกังวลเรื่องนั้น เพราะเจ้า VaporMax ผ่านการทดสอบบนทางลูกรังที่ Colorado มาแล้ว!
ในส่วนของผ้าถักด้านบนจะให้สัมผัสนุ่มและอบอุ่น ไม่รัดแน่นจนเกินไป คล้ายคลึงกับรุ่น Flyknit Lunar แต่มีความยืดหยุ่นมากกว่ารุ่นทั่วไปอย่าง Flyknit Racer การออกแบบในเรื่องของโทนสี ก่อนหน้านี้ Air Max จะเน้นความโดดเด่นจากสีสันที่ฉูดฉาด ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Air Max 1, Air Max 90’s แต่ตัว VaporMax นั้นจะเน้นในความเรียบง่าย ตามคอนเซ็ปต์ “สัมผัสของอากาศ” จึงมาในสีโทนขาวเทาเหมือนก้อนเมฆบนท้องฟ้า ซึ่งข้อดีของตัวรองเท้าที่เป็นผ้าถักทำให้สามารถผสมผสานสีต่างๆเข้ากันได้อย่างกลมกลืนและซับซ้อน ไม่สามารถพิจารณาได้ด้วยการมองเพียงครั้งเดียว ล้ำลึกจริงๆ ซึ่งคอลเลกชั่นที่เพิ่งเปิดตัวไปมี 3 สี ได้แก่ Pure Platinum, Triple Black และ Grey/Red

The inadvertent Canadian stream is “the best thing that could have happened,” a CBS source told CNN on Monday evening, arguing that the Alfonsi piece is “excellent” and should have been televised as intended.
People close to Weiss have argued that the piece was imbalanced, however, because it did not include interviews with Trump officials.
Weiss told staffers on Monday, “We need to be able to get the principals on the record and on camera.” However, in an earlier memo to colleagues, Alfonsi asserted that her team tried, and their “refusal to be interviewed” was “a tactical maneuver designed to kill the story.”
At the end of the segment that streamed on Global TV’s platform, Alfonsi said Homeland Security “declined our request for an interview and referred all questions about CECOT to El Salvador. The government there did not respond to our request.”
The segment included sound bites from President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. But it was clearly meant to be a story about Venezuelan men deported to El Salvador, not about the officials who implemented Trump’s mass deportation policy.
